Things are changing all the time. Time is passing all the time. It’s time to say goodbye to 2008! So, after twelve months of form 4, are we really growing up? Becoming a better person? Well, no one can make certain of that. But one thing no one could ever deny is that those days have become the memories of ours, the memories of 2008. I have indeed cherished those memories and I am now all ready to face the year of 2009. Yeah New Year resolution. I shall keep it for myself. Do you have any?
Last year was- Great? Superb? You think so?
Well, to elaborate, let me start to recapitulate things one by one.
Hmm… form 4. From the perspective of curriculum, I was given heaps of homework in school throughout the year but what I did mostly was just copying. Feel bad huh? You think? The subjects themselves were okay overall, not too hard to cope up actually. But the results that came out show the opposite, shows that I was as ignorant as ever. Not that the subjects were hard to understand, but it’s the matter of time planning before exams. Blame it all to myself for procrastinating my study plans. Again and again. And my past mistakes still haunt me, greatly, even now. The more you don’t want to think about them, the more you will. Things don’t rewind themselves, do they? You can’t even find the rewind button, how could you? But at least, I have learnt something from it, from my failure that time control is about the most important thing to bear in mind. Now that I mention it, time in 2009 should be more precious and vital. So, stop wasting time, folk, you are already Form 5. So as the year progressed, just I thought things couldn’t get any worse... But hey! It’s all over now. It’s a whole new year! *heaved a sigh of relief. Have I just done the opposite?
What can I say? I know too well how it feels. But believe me, you won’t feel the same in this New Year. Things never remain the same.
As in clubs and activities, don’t feel like doing much actually, except the duty in my club that needs to be carried out weekly. Simple and easy. Still, gotta thank some of my friends who helped me out and for their cooperation. But the club was nothing also lah, you can’t organize anything. Unless you want a … big mosquitoes gathering at Matthew’s house. Haha! =)
(Guitar club) one of my form 1 friend wants to join the club and thought maybe he can learn how to play it. Haha! Don’t expect too much man! (Chess & pingpong club) I really have fun in the chess and table tennis competition last year. Thinking of joining them again.
Soon, the holidays arrived and most of the time I spent was in front of computer. Sometimes went derrick or lauliang’s house for pingpong. Sometimes dreaming. Sometimes, lazing around. At least managed to complete couple of books due to the overwhelming free time. Frankly speaking, I took unduly long to finish even one book.
Darn! Time really has the ability to wash whatever inside my brain; I have forgotten the entire form 4 syllabus! how? you tell me.
Did I waste my time away?
